JFR holds monthly meetings for residents so they may better keep informed on various local topics, events, and matters of interest affecting them. The group also holds many free events in the community, such as Movie Nights, the Family Hoedown, and Spring Family Fun Day, Candidates Events, Christmas Tree Sale, and Annual Sporting Clay Shoot. Then, at the end of the school year, JFR awards scholarships to a local graduating senior.
Although JFR’s Board of Directors are all volunteers and give selflessly of their time and personal resources, none of our events are cheap to produce. We would love to be able to do more for the community but money is always an issue. In the past, JFR Boards have asked for yearly contributions from resident families. In the past year and a half, we have not done that. Our neighbors in Palm Beach Country Estates have the Donald Ross Landowner’s Association which bills their residents $35 – $50 per year; which must be paid in order to be a voting member of their community – we will never do that.
However, Jupiter Farms Residents could truly use your help. Special event insurance, general liability insurance, vendors, scholarships, web hosting, professional services, etc. are all mounting expenses.
Please donate what you can to help us grow a stronger and better-protected community and help us to keep Jupiter Farms, Jupiter Farms. Year after year, it’s getting more difficult to maintain what we have; so please, don’t take it for granted.
FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND IN JUPITER FARMS
The neighborhood consists mostly of a grid of numbered streets, it is easy to tell where a location is using the house number. For example, using the above address, 10100 BLOCK 157TH ST N. That is near where 101 crosses 157th.
The first 3 numbers of the house number indicate the nearest cross street. North/south streets start at 91st on the east side of the Farms and run to the 130s on the west side.
East/west streets run from 150th in the south to 179th (just before Indiantown) and up to 189th on the north side.
Some of the streets have names instead – Jupiter Farms is the equivalent of 100th and Alexander is 120th, ETC. It’s not a hard and fast rule but it can help orient you a bit.
