Los Angeles bassist Chris has always had a love for music. His childhood curiosity of music and art became a lifelong passion leading him on a continuous search for great music. Growing up in the punk rock and hardcore scene, he quickly realized the importance of supporting local music. Teaming up lifelong friend Rick, the two would showcase local bands and help grow the Huntington Park music scene in the early 1990’s. Rick called the scene “GruntCore” and many years later after being frustrated with the current state of the commercial music they created a platform were they could help support all the great local music of all genres. They called it La Clika, (the click) using the phrase as to bring all music together under one umbrella.

Rick “Nose Hairs Mahony”

He would draw flyers, promote gigs and even record bands in his spare time. Rick has an amazing ear for great music and an eye for raw talent. His diverse talent spans from photography, depicting original illustrations and producing graphic arts in many forms. Rick co-founded La Clika Podcast and is the producer for the podcast.
